Discussions were lively in Managerial Perspectives today as USC Marshall School of Business’s marque leadership and strategy professor, Carl Voigt, led a discussion about crisis management. In an HBR analysis of a fated 1996 assent of Mont Everest, IBEAR MBA candidates debated the finer points of avoiding, and dealing with crisis and high stakes decision making. We all came here to learn from our professors, but we usually learn more from each other.
